Buy all the things.

Dear Calliope,

Today is your mommy's birthday.
Today your mommy decided it was time to buy some things for you.
So she did.
Your mommy and daddy went to a swap mart just down the street from  us and found a very nice lady selling adorable children's clothing there.

Obviously, there is a tiny bit of a theme going on here.

They certainly scored in the land of Winnie The Pooh items.
My personal favorite is the Winnie hat with matching booties.

At the time, we didn't know yet if you would be a boy or a girl. But that little outfit was too cute to resist.

Your mommy has always loved Eeyore, in fact she's got a couple stuffed Eeyore's of her own. The one in this picture is hers.
She got you your very own Tigger stuffed animal to love and hold.

Did I mention we're all so excited to get to see you?

Sincerely,
Auntie Em.

Quit hiding things

Dear Calliope,

The salt has been missing for a fews days now.
Just an hour ago I found the salt in the cabinet where the prenatal vitamins should have been.
Please quit making your mommy hide things in crazy places.

Sincerely,
Auntie Em.

Building your room.

Dear Calliope,

After we found out that you existed, we knew we'd have to start working on your room.
Before your mommy and daddy even knew they were ready to have a baby, they knew which room would be the baby room. And nothing but baby stuff was allowed in the baby room.

So, we were all sitting downstairs talking about how we wanted the baby room to look.
Starting with the floors.
Your mommy and daddy decided they wanted wood floors in the whole house, but that they'd want to do it one room at a time. Since we were already going to be remodeling your room, why not start with that one?
Suddenly, your daddy got up and went upstairs. Your mommy and I hardly noticed and kept talking about colors and themes and looking at pictures on the internet of other cute baby rooms...

Then the house made some pretty awful noises.

Your daddy had gone upstairs and started ripping out the carpet in your room.
Obviously he was not excited to start working on your room...no, not one bit.
Here's what your room looks like right now...

We are all so excited to get to meet you.

Sincerely,
Auntie Em.
